Why use cold processed soap instead of body wash?

What is the shelf life of soap, deodorant, etc.?

Soap: Soap will not expire however the scent will start to fade after 1-2 years.

Deodorant: Deodorant will not expire however the scent will start to fade after 1-2 years.

Body Butter/Lotion: Body Butter/Lotion has a shelf life of 2 years or more.

Beard Products: Beard Products will last about 1-2 years.

All products will last as described above or longer as long as no bacteria, water or dirt is introduced. Once contaminated, these products may go bad fairly quickly.

Is fragrance oil the same as essential oils?

Essential oils and fragrance oils are not the same. Essential oils are extracted from plants, containing the natural aroma and compounds of the plant, while fragrance oils are created in a laboratory. All of our fragrance oils are free of parabens, sulphates and fillers.

Can I use your soaps on my face/beard/hair?

Cold processed soaps can be used on the face, beard, and hair, but it's important to note that everyone's skin and hair are different, so results may vary. Some people find that cold processed soaps are gentle and moisturizing enough to use on their face, while others may prefer specific facial cleansers. For the beard, using cold processed soap can help cleanse and condition the hair and the skin underneath. However, it's important to rinse thoroughly to avoid any residue. When it comes to hair, cold processed soap can be used as a shampoo bar. Again, it's important to consider individual preferences and hair type. It's recommended to do a patch test and see how the soap works for your specific needs.

Isn't Lye in cold processed soap a chemical?

Lye is a chemical that is used in the process of making cold processed soap. It is a caustic substance, also known as sodium hydroxide, which is combined with oils or fats to undergo a chemical reaction called saponification. During saponification, lye reacts with the oils or fats to convert them into soap. However, in properly made cold processed soap (like ours), there is no lye left in the final product as it becomes neutralized in the process.

Are the colors in your soaps synthetic?

We use micas in our cold processed soap which are commonly considered to be naturally occurring minerals that are ground into a fine powder for use as colorants. Mica powders are known for adding shimmering and vibrant colors to our cold process soaps. We do not use any synthetic dyes in our products.

Do you use RSPO Palm oil?

Yes we do! RSPO Palm oil is palm oil that is produced and sourced in accordance with the sustainability standards of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil. It aims to promote sustainable practices, conserve biodiversity, reduce deforestation, and improve the livelihoods of workers and local communities in palm oil-producing regions. Choosing products with RSPO-certified palm oil supports responsible and environmentally-friendly palm oil production.

How much deodorant should I be applying?

The recommended amount of deodorant to apply may vary depending on personal preference. However, general guidelines suggest applying a thin and even layer of deodorant to clean, dry underarms. It is important not to apply too much deodorant, as this can lead to product buildup and may not provide any additional benefits. Applying two to three swipes per underarm is typically sufficient for most individuals.
